In his two-year tenure, Nick skillfully navigated the organization through very challenging times and his dedication should be commended! Past OFSAA President Jennifer Knox has completed her six-year term on Executive Council, including two years as president from 2017 to 2019. We will miss Jen’s leadership and experience, and thank her for her commitment to school athletics. OFSAA welcomes Carolyn Chesney to the position of President. As well, please welcome Scott Barr to the role of Vice-President on the Executive Council beginning in the fall. BEST WISHES!Two members will be leaving the OFSAA Executive Council in June. OFSAA would like to thank EVA ROSER (TDCAA), representing the Metro Region, and SHAWN MORRIS (YRAA), representing the Central Region, for their valuable contributions over the years! We are delighted to welcome incoming Executive Council members Chris Reid (Metro Region) and Val Hargreaves (Central Region). We would also would like to acknowledge the considerable contributions of departing OFSAA Association Representatives Linda Correia (LOSSA) and Suche James (EOSSAA). Their leadership and commitment to OFSAA initiatives has been exemplary. ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS NAMEDThe Selection Committee is excited to announce that SUSIE FOX from St. Paul HS (NCSSAA), EMMANUEL ADEGBOYEGA from Chaminade College School (TDCAA), REBECCA GROOTENDORST from St. John’s Kilmarnock (CISAA) and SPENCER WATSON from Port Hope HS (COSSA) are this year’s recipients. ZOE GARDINER and EMMANUEL ADEGBOYEGA stood out for their commitment to OFSAA’s values of leadership, equity, respect and sportsmanship. Each will receive a $1,000 grant from Jostens. Congratulations! The OFSAA Virtual Challenge program came to a close on May 21. Our Grand Prize (8 foot Score Table courtesy of The Scoreboard Man) was earned by Lo-Ellen Secondary School in Sudbury. Thank you for the leadership shown by the Student Leaders, Teacher Supervisors and the Planning Committee!
