CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES

The Queen Charlotte Coyotes claimed the PEISAA Intermedaite Boys Provincial Baseball Championship with a 11-1 win over the Summerside intermediate Owls. The provincials took place at Queen Elizabeth Park in Summerside on Wednesday.  Winning pitcher Tanner Maclean was dominant giving up five hits while racking up nine strikeouts. Noah Dow, Brett Arsenault and Dylan Worth had two hits apiece for the Coyotes while Kal White had the game ending RBI to go along with two great defensive plays in center field.  For Summerside Intermediate School Liam Greenan and Noah Gallant were both 2-3 with a double.  Landon Gallant was the starting pitcher with some relief from Jacob Dunn.
In the Bronze Medal game, Birchwood scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to defeat Stonepark 4-3.  In Semi Final action, Summerside intermediate defeated Birchwood 10-0 and Queen Charlotte got by Stonepark 7-4
