NSSAF Announces Newly Appointed Incoming Executive Director For Immediate

On behalf of the Board of Governors of the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation (NSSAF), I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Gallant has been appointed as the incoming Executive Director of the NSSAF as of August 1, 2016.
A former teacher and Principal, Mr. Gallant is the Senior Director of the Active Living Branch of the Department of Health and Wellness for the Province of Nova Scotia. Mr. Gallant also holds the position of Ex-Officio member on the Board of Governors for the NSSAF. Mr. Gallant is also a member of the Federal/Provincial/Territorial Sport Committee and serves as Chair of the Board of the Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic as well as a graduate of the National Coaching Institute in Victoria, and having coached at the national, club, and CIS levels in Volleyball and Canoe/Kayak.
Over the next couple of months, Mr. Gallant will be working on transitioning to the position and overseeing some projects that will help him come to fully engage in the NSSAF. We welcome Mr. Gallant to the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation as incoming Executive Director and look forward to working with him in this new appointment.
