Sanctioning forms must be submitted 60 days in advance of the competition.

Types of Sanctioning

  • Outside of the Season of Play
  • Hosting:
    • Out of Province School, or
    • Out of Country School.
  • Travelling to Compete:
    • Out of Province, or
    • Out of Country.

Schools Without a Team

The BCSS office has been receiving many questions about student-athletes playing for another school when a team is not available at the school they attend. Student-athletes are only eligible to compete for the school they currently attend. They are not able to play for another school if the team is not offered at their own school.

If you have any questions please email info@bcschoolsports.ca or call 604-477-1488.

Bulk Uploads

We have made a change to the ‘Birthdate’ field of the bulk upload template in an effort to eliminate problems that were caused by inconsistent birthdate formats. Instead of a single column for the date of birth, we have the following: Year of Birth (YYYY), Month of Birth (MM), Day of Birth (DD).

Updating Users

To create a new Athletic Director or update existing contact information (principal, school or accounting emails) in STARS, the Administrator from your school will need to email info@bcschoolsports.ca and include the name and email address for the new user or the information that needs to be updated.

BCSS recommends having only one person per user.
Each individual that may require access to STARS can have an account.
