The Colonel Gray gymnasium was transformed into a battlefield on Saturday.

Hundreds of foam projectiles littered the ground from the first Nerf Battle held between Charlottetown Rural Raiders and Colonel Gray Colonels.

The event, which ran from 1 to 4 p.m., saw more than 40 students participate.

The battle was also the first event held for “Rural vs. Gray 2017,” which organizers described a multi-facted tournament hosted by students councils to settle the “age-old rivalry” between the two schools.
