December 2023 Athletes of the Month

Congratulations to our December athletes of the month, Carter and Anna.

Carter has been playing soccer and basketball since the 6th grade at BRHS and has grown into a high caliber athlete in that time. He is the captain for both sports this year and is well respected by his teammates. Carter also gives his time to umpire middle school soccer and basketball games. He is a brilliant student and a great role model for the whole school.

Anna is a four-year-old senior basketball player who is off to a great start leading the team to a first-time record of 14 wins and 3 losses. With two tournament wins, she’s ranked first on the team in terms of points scoring and tackling. She’s a great coach player and a great teammate. Anna has accepted a scholarship to UNB and will be joining the track and field team in the fall.

Congratulations to both athletes and thank you to the coaches and staff for taking the time to recognize these outstanding students.

Introducing our Dec. 2023 Athlete of the Month Presented by @BCMilk, Maggie Pearce! Maggie served as captain of the St. Ann’s senior girls volleyball team, being a key factor in the team’s bronze medal finish at the 2023 ‘A’ Girls Volleyball Championship last month, where she was named a 2nd Team All-Star. Maggie works hard to excel both as an athlete and in her academic pursuits, competing in multiple sports & maintaining honour roll status in school. She is recognized as a natural leader on & off the court. Congratulations Maggie!

Introducing our Dec. 2023 Athlete of the Month Presented by @BCMilk, Emmet Ward! Emmet was the QB and captain of Windsor’s football team and played a significant role in leading them to the 2023 ‘AA’ Football Semi-Finals. He was named a @BCHSFB Western Conference All-Star Provincial All-Star for his remarkable play this season. In the off-season, Emmet took the initiative in leading team lifts & workouts and is dedicated to helping the team become better. He has been a significant contributor & difference-maker for Windsor. Congrats Emmet!

Congratulations to Ava Dyck and Isaac Day for being our Athlete of the Month Winners for the Month of December!

For our first Athlete of the Month awards, the ASAA decided to place high value on accomplishments that were achieved in the fall.

Future athletes of the month will be based primarily on accomplishments from the previous month.
