Rural’s JJ Kamphuis finished 1st Overall in PEISAA Powerlifting Provincials as well as holds all provincial records for is division.

JJ is focused, very professional and dedicated to his sport.

He has given up his time to share his knowledge and experience with other students, including actually coaching another teammate, who were also successful at powerlifting provincials.

He helped set up the fitness room at Rural, again giving up his own time to help advise and to build cages and racks.

He just returned from the National Powerlifting championships where he took home gold.

Jayden is currently rewriting the record books. After leading Charlottetown Rural’s first-ever official powerlifting team and winning Top Lifter at Provincials, Jayden took his talents to the CanPL Nationals this March. He delivered a historic performance, solidifying himself as the best Sub-junior male lifter in the history of the sport by shattering multiple national records.

Jayden also secured a spot on Team Canada for Team Canada for IPF Worlds, Commonwealth Worlds & NAPF Worlds. While his stats are legendary, his character is even more impressive.
