Hockey RSEQ | Mise en place de la ligue provinciale scolaire de hockey benjamin division 1

Le RSEQ est fier d’annoncer la mise en place de la ligue provinciale scolaire de hockey benjamin division 1 dès l’automne 2018. Cette nouvelle ligue répond à un besoin exprimé par les membres afin d’offrir un service compétitif aux élèves-athlètes évoluant en hockey au secondaire.

Le hockey scolaire du RSEQ est en pleine effervescence depuis la création, en 2012, de la ligue provinciale scolaire de hockey juvénile division 1 qui comportait, à sa première saison, 17 établissements d’enseignement. Depuis, l’intérêt des membres du RSEQ pour cette offre de service n’a cessé de croître. En effet, lors de la saison 2014-2015, la ligue provinciale scolaire de hockey cadet division 1 prenait son envol. Les deux ligues regroupaient un total de 44 équipes, soit 28 en juvénile et 16 en cadet provenant de 31 établissements d’enseignement. Enfin, pour la saison 2017-2018, ce sont présentement 57 équipes qui évoluent au sein de celles-ci.

La mise en place de la ligue provinciale scolaire de hockey benjamin division 1 dès l’automne 2018 est la suite logique du développement du hockey scolaire au RSEQ et offre aux élèves-athlètes l’opportunité de pratiquer le hockey dans un milieu d’éducation.

Hockey RSEQ | Establishment of the provincial league hockey Benjamin Division 1

The RSEQ is proud to announce the establishment of the provincial junior hockey league division division in the fall of 2018. This new league meets a need expressed by the members to offer a competitive service to student-athletes evolving in high school hockey.

RSEQ’s school hockey has been buzzing since the creation of the provincial Division 1 juvenile school hockey league in 2012, which included, in its first season, 17 educational institutions. Since then, the interest of RSEQ members in this service offer has continued to grow. In fact, during the 2014-2015 season, the provincial junior league division 1 hockey league was taking off. The two leagues comprised a total of 44 teams, 28 in juvenile and 16 in cadet from 31 educational institutions. Finally, for the 2017-2018 season, there are currently 57 teams evolving within them.
