It is our pleasure to share with you results and video of ISF StayActive Campaign.
In March ISF President Laurent Petrynka initiated ISFStayActive campaign, calling the world of school sport to join him in exercising while staying at home due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the days to follow, he was joined by four Olympians, Valentina Marche (figure skater), Chika Chukwumerije (taekwondo), Giba (volleyball) and Marta Pagnini (rhythmic gymnastics), ISF Executive Committee and Technical Commissions members, Physical Education teachers and coaches, and most importantly students and young athletes from all over the world.
In April, UNESCO estimated that globally more than 70% of students were out of school due to the Covid-19. Despite the closure of schools and sport facilities, it was crucial for youth to stay active, as sport greatly contributes to the physical, social and intellectual development of youngsters.
The aim of the ISF Stay Active campaign was to help children, youth and their parents to stay active and continue with Physical Education while at home.
More than 65 participants from 28 countries and 4 countries joined the campaign. We had more than 100.000 views on all social media.
