Congratulations January SUBWAY Coaches of the Month

mike-harrisMike Harris of Churchill High School has been selected as the January SUBWAY Urban Coach of the Month.  Mike started up the hockey program at Churchill High School in 2005. At the start, the numbers were minimal, but in the last few seasons the team has placed in the semi finals, winning their division in 2010. Mike tends to have a small roster and this year is no different.  He has 11 skaters and 2 goalies for a total of 13 players. This includes a defenseman and goalie in grade 9.

His schedule is pushed back a little due to a few players finishing up the football season. The squad started the year 0-4 losing a few close games, but ended the season with a 14-8 record.  The Bulldogs are currently involved in playoffs.  Mike stresses good citizenship and academics with his players.  He is a Churchill alumnus and takes great pride in his school and team.
