Celebrating Coaches in Ontario For Over 10 years!
September 17th– 25th, 2016 marks the second annual National Coaches Week (11th Coaches Week in Ontario) asking Canadians to join together to celebrate the tremendous positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities.
This week is an opportunity to recognize YOU for the integral role you play by saying #ThanksCoach!
The CAO has planned several exciting events, programs and opportunities to provide coaches in Ontario with the recognition they deserve for the time they devote to ensuring Ontarians live active, healthy lifestyles.
FREE NCCP Training and Events
In celebration of National Coaches Week in Ontario, CAO has partnered with host communities and sport organizations across the province to deliver a week long campaign, including #NCCP Free Days, which aim to recruit, develop, educate and celebrate community volunteer coaches around the province. Registration is open – sign-up today!
Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards
Kicking-off the week will be the Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards, which will be held on Saturday, September 17th in Toronto. Coaches from across the province have been nominated in 6 categories, with the winners being recognized at this special event. Learn more about the different awards online or join us on the day!
National Coaches Week in Ontario Promo Kit
Posters, Buttons, Whistles and more! Simply fill out the form and we will send eligible clubs, associations and community organizations in Ontario a FREE Promo Kit to help them celebrate the week. Take part in the week by hosting your own celebration using our free resources!
Coaches Helping Coaches
The program to recruit Ontario’s Coaching Future will head into its 3rd Cycle this year! The Coaches Helping Coaches Program embodies the CAO’s “Coaches Helping Coaches” philosophy by offering encouragement, support and recognition to coaches in the community who actively mentor and develop the newer coaches.
