We would like to announce the hiring of Denise Perrier as our new manager of programs. Denise will begin work on November 6 and can be reached at (416) 426-7436 or denise@ofsaa.on.ca.
Championships Two OFSAA Championships are taking place this week: Girls’ Field Hockey November 2 – 4, Burlington http://ofsaa.on.ca/field-hockey Cross Country November 4, Petawawa http://ofsaa.on.ca/cross-country-running Jersey Day November 17 is National Jersey Day. This is being promoted by School Sport Canada and schools are encouraged to take part. A program flyer is attached. Key Meeting Dates Representatives’ Council – Nov. 30 & Dec. 1 Annual General Meeting – April 12 & 13 1st Ever OFSAA Conference In May of 2018, OFSAA will be hosting a comprehensive conference aimed at delivering topical workshops, sport-specific coaching sessions, and CIAAA courses for physical education teachers, teacher-coaches and current or aspiring athletic directors. Stay tuned for further updates as we move into the new year and stay current by checking out the OFSAA website. (ofsaa.on.ca) Try Day Schools who have completed their Try Day program are asked to submit their final report using the online reporting method on the OFSAA website.

After a successful first year in 2016-17, the OFSAA/CIAAA team is back and ready to build on their success of offering training programs specifically for high school athletic directors. Sad News It is with regret that we announce the passing of Helen Gurney who was one of the founding Board members with OFSAA. Helen was a strong advocate for school sport and was inspiration to many, particularly female students and coaches.
