OFSAA Presents New School Sport Video

School Sport Video Focuses On New Teachers

OFSAA has completed the production of a special video which shows that school sport is much more than championships. It is our goal to have the english and french versions of the video presented to new teachers via the Faculty of Education in Ontario.

School sport plays a vital role in Ontario’s education system and it is a vehicle to educate students; to teach them life skills like teamwork, respect, and work ethic. Student-athletes rely on teachers to coach sports in their schools. Without teachers taking these volunteer roles, school sport opportunities would not be available and a vital aspect of student development would be lost. 

Teacher-coaches can help ensure school sports are a major component of the student and teaching experience.
