Research Announcement: Call for Participants

A team of Health and Physical Education researchers from Nipissing and Ottawa Universities are investigating the influences associated with obtaining National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) training and/or certification among high school teacher coaches working in rural Ontario schools.  We are seeking novice and/or experienced teacher coaches willing to participate in a 20-minute interview with the research team that will occur through Skype or teleconference.  Each participant will receive a $50 Sport Chek gift certificate to enhance the school-based physical activity programs at their school (i.e. equipment, coaching resources).  For a brief overview of the NCCP pathway to coaching training and/or certification, please review the video link below:

If you are interested in participating and teach in rural Ontario (community not sharing a boundary with a metropolitan area (population > 50,000)), please contact Dr. Greg Rickwood (gregri@nipissingu.ca) (705-474-3450 Ext.4731), Associate Professor, School of Physical and Health Education, at Nipissing University for further information.
