Valerie Gordon: One of the most influential people in SHSAA history, Val has served 9 years in total on the SHSAA Executive Council during her meritorious service to school sport in Saskatchewan. Val served as Section 1 rep from 2010-2014 and SHSAA President from 2015-2019. See completed her year as past president by providing leadership and direction to a new crop of dedicated school sport volunteers. Val was always able to ask the difficult questions and challenge the status quo to see if there were better ways of approaching the issues at hand. Val will continue to impact school sport as she continues in her role as Commissioner of Athletics in the South West Athletic Conference.
Kelly Adams: SHSAA is sad to see Kelly leave the Executive after the completion of his first two-year term. He joined the SHSAA Executive Council in June 2018 after being elected as the Regina District Representative. During his time on the Executive, Kelly served as the chairperson for both the Soccer and Football Sport Advisory Groups. Kelly was also instrumental in hosting the 2019 SHSAA Coaches Symposium in Regina at Campbell Collegiate. At the Board table, Kelly was always well prepared and willing to offer thoughtful insight during discussion and debate. His willingness to understand the concerns and perspective of individuals with school sport experiences different than his was a very appreciated quality. Kelly is bound to remain active in the school sport community as he continues in his various coaching and sport administration roles at Campbell Collegiate.
