SHSAA Announces Boys Volleyball Sportmanship Awards

Sportsmanship Award – 1A Boys Volleyball – Arcola Panthers

The SHSAA was proud to present the SaskMilk Sportsmanship Banner to the 1A Boys Volleyball Team at Arcola School.  The Arcola Panthers accepted the “Blue Banner” at a school assembly on Tuesday, February 5 in front of peers, parents, and school staff.

Thank you to SaskMilk for providing Milk and Chocolate Milk to all those in attendance and for the support of High School Sport in Saskatchewan!

Sportsmanship Award – 2A Boys Volleyball – Pinehouse Lakers

The Boys Volleyball Team from Minahik Waskahigan School in Pinehouse Lake received the Sportsmanship Award at a school assembly on January 29.  The gathering of students, staff, administration, parents, community members, and mayor appreciated some thoughtful words from principal, Curtis Chandler, as he reflected on the team’s season and the significance of being recognized.  The SHSAA was proud to present the school’s first Sportsmanship Banner to coach, Kelly Kwan, and the student-athletes. The assembly finished with a friendly volleyball game between the students and the staff/community.

Thank you to SaskMilk for their continued support of high school athletics in Saskatchewan and for providing free milk to all that attended the presentation!

Sportsmanship Award – 3A Boys Volleyball – Waldheim Raiders

The Waldheim Raiders boys volleyball team was presented with the SHSAA/SaskMIlk sportsmanship award for 3A Boys Volleyball.  SHSAA Executive Director, Lyle McKellar, made the presentation highlighting the season the boys had and the efforts towards sportsmanship during their participation in the volleyball championship hosted in Carnduff.

As part of their continued sponsorship of SHSAA, Sask Milk provided free milk for all of the students from Waldheim School to celebrate the presentation.

Congratulations to adminstrative team of Mr. Mellesmoen and Mr. Reis, and the entire Waldheim School community.
