SHSAA Announces More Volleyball Sportsmanship Winners

Congratulations to the Ernie Studer School Blue Devils Boys Volleyball team on their very successful and sportsmanlike season! The team’s conduct throughout the year has earned them the Sportsmanship Award!
The “Blue Banner” was presented to the team on February 16 in front of Ernie Studer students, staff, and parents.
Thank you to Saskatchewan Milk Marketing Board for their continued support of High School Athletics in Saskatchewan and for providing milk to celebrate the occasion!
The SHSAA was proud to present the 1A Boys Volleyball Sportsmanship Award to the Vanguard Valkyrs. The presentation took place on February 1, 2017 during a school assembly attended by the school community and parents.
Vanguard is a previous winner of one of the four additional sportsmanship banners that can be awarded by the SHSAA each year. This year’s banner representing the team’s efforts toward sportsmanship during the provincial championship hosted at Chief Kahkewistahaw is the third award for the school.
Congratulations to the team, Principal Shwaga and Coaches McComsh, Caswell, and Englot for an award that was well deserved.

The SHSAA and SaskMilk were proud to present the 5A Girls Volleyball Sportsmanship Award to the Luther College High School Lions. The presentation took place on February 15, 2017 during a school assembly attended by the students, parents, teaching staff, administration, and RHSAA.
Luther received the award for their display of sportsmanship during the provincial championship held in November. Congratulations to the team, coaches, and supporters.

The Kipling Magyars girls volleyball team along with coaches Gessell and Zepick were front and center at a recent school assembly held to honor the team being named the Sportsmanship Award winner for 3A Girls Volleyball.
Representatives from Prairie Valley School Division and Saskatchewan Milk Marketing Board assisted in the presentation. Many community members joined the student body in congratulating the team for being positive role models and ambassadors of the school and community.
Kipling was also the host site of the 3A Girls Championship in 2017. Hats off to the school administration and staff for a job well done.

Unity received the award for their display of sportsmanship during the provincial championship held in November. Congratulations to the team, coach, and supporters.

At a school assembly on February 17th, the McLurg Broncs from Wilkie were presented with the SHSAA/Sask Milk Sportsmanship Award for 3A Boys Volleyball. The team had participated in the provincial championship that was hosted in Osler/Warman in late November.
Staff, parents, and students all shared in the award which recognises school teams that display the characteristics of sportsmanship and values of the SHSAA as they act as ambassadors for their school in educational athletics.
Congratulations to Coach Mamer and the team on an award that was well deserved.
