Sportsmanship Award – 3A Boys and 3A Girls Soccer – Swift Current Colts/Ardens
Congratulations to the Swift Current Colts / Ardens for receiving the SHSAA / SaskMilk Sportsmanship Banners for their performances at the 3A Boys Provincial Soccer Championships held in Saskatoon and the 3A Girls Provincial Soccer Championships in Prince Albert in October.
The “Blue Banners” were presented to the teams at a school assembly in front of peers, parents, teachers, school administration, school division administration, school board representatives, and SHSAA representatives. The teams were recognised for how they carried themselves at the competitions. They have made themselves, their school, their community, and the SHSAA very proud of their athletic and sportsmanship accomplishments!
Thank you to SaskMilk for their continued support of the SHSAA and for providing free milk for the entire school following the presentation!
Sportsmanship Award – 1A Boys Soccer – Herbert Laurels
Congratulations to the Herbert Laurels Boys Soccer Team on receiving the SHSAA / SaskMilk Sportsmanship Award! The team received the “Blue Banner” during a school assembly on Friday, December 14 in front of peers, parents, teachers, school administration, and school board representatives. The team was celebrated for their demonstration of respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship at the 1A Boys Provincial Championship that was held in Lake Lenore in October.
Thank you to SaskMilk for providing free milk to everybody that was in attendance and for their continued support of all 10 activities that SHSAA offers.

Sportsmanship Award – 1A Girls Volleyball – Ecole Providence (Vonda)
Congratulations to Ecole Providence (Vonda) Panthres Girls Volleyball Team on their “Blue Banner” performance at the 1A Girls Provincial Volleyball Championship hosted in Fox Valley in November. The Sportsmanship Banner presentation was held on December 20 in front of Ecole Providence students, teachers, administration, parents, and media.
Thank you to Sask Milk for their continued support of high school athletics and for providing free milk and chocolate milk to everybody that attended the presentation.
Sportsmanship Award – 1A Girls Soccer – Dalmeny
SHSAA and Sask Milk were proud to present the 1A Girls Soccer Sportsmanship Award to Dalmeny High School. Athletic Director, Sandra Schatz welcomed students, staff, parents, and Prairie Spirit Board members to the school assembly on Friday, January 11. After a recap of the season by team members, the presentation of certificates and blue banner was handled by Mitchell Schultz representing Sask Milk. Coach Paul Johnson and Principal Andrew Merryweather concluded the assembly with their comments. The girls soccer team then delivered milk to each class. The milk, once again sponsored by Sask MIlk, is distributed to the entire school.
Sportsmanship Award – 4A Girls Volleyball – Maidstone Huskies
Congratulations to the Maidstone Huskies Girls Volleyball Team and their coaches on receiving the Sportsmanship Award! The team was celebrated for their “Blue Banner” behaviour at a school assembly on December 21 in front of peers, teachers, parents, school administration, division administration, and board members. The presentation was a surprise for the team and for Coach Dave Speirs as a finale to the school’s fall awards ceremonies!
