Sportsmanship Award – Girls Basketball
SHSAA was proud to present the Girls Basketball Sportsmanship Award to the Asquith/Perdue Athletics. Principal Greunding introduced the team members including coaches Quittenbaum and Kielstra during the school assembly held on May 1. The celebration in front of parents and students, included words of congratulations from the Prairie Spirit School Division Board Chair, the Mayor of Asquith, Principal Greunding of Lord Asquith School, Principal Chilibeck of Perdue School, and the Sask Milk representative.
Thank you to Saskatchewan Milk Marketing Board for providing milk to all those that attended the presentation and for their continued support of High School Athletics in Saskatchewan.
Sportsmanship Award – Girls Curling
The Wadena Blue Devils were presented the SHSAA / Sask Milk Sportsmanship Award for Girls Curling at a school assembly on April 30, 2018. Principal Darin Faubert welcomed everyone and provided background on the team and the award. Jack Ford represented the Saskatchewan Milk Marketing Board. Mr. Ford talked about the importance of developing the skills of citizenship in student athletes participating in school sport. Sask Milk has been a dedicated sponsor of SHSAA for many years and their continued support continues to be appreciated.
Congratulations to Coach Pomedli, Coach Athmer, and the team members on well deserved recognition and the legacy of the blue banner left to the school.
