SHSAA Sportsmanship Awards Continue To Be Announced

2A Boys Volleyball Sportsmanship Award

 The Wawota Boys Volleyball Team was presented the SHSAA / Sask Milk “Blue Banner” for their display of sportsmanship while they competed at the 2A volleyball championship this past November.

A number of parents and staff were in attendance at Wawota Parkland School to contribute to the significance of the presentation on April 10.  Congratulations to the boys volleyball team and thank you to Sask Milk for their support and participation in the sportsmanship program.

 

Sportsmanship Award – Boys Curling

 SHSAA was proud to present the Boys Curling Sportsmanship Award to Mossbank School.   Principal Rutko introduced the team members including coaches Eastman and Thorburn during the school assembly held on April 17.  After winning the regional championship held in Moose Jaw, the team went on to compete at the provincial championship in Spiritwood.  This was the second SHSAA/Sask Milk Sportsmanship banner that the school has received.  Congratulations to the Prairie Lightning and the Mossbank school community.

Following the presentation the student body enjoyed chocolate milk courtesy of the Saskatchewan Milk Marketing Board…Milk, the official beverage of the SHSAA.

2A Boys Soccer Sportsmanship Award

The 2A Boys Soccer Sportsmanship Award was presented to the Martensville Royals.  The team competed in the recent SHSAA championship hosted in Yorkton.  School staff and administration joined Martensville students during a Winter Activities pep rally in congratulating the boys soccer team on their achievement.

Sask Milk provided milk for the event; their continued support of the SHSAA is greatly appreciated.

Sportsmanship Award – Mixed Curling

SHSAA was proud to present the Mixed Curling Sportsmanship Award to W.P. Sandin Public High School in Shellbrook.   Principal Tomporowski introduced the team members including coaches Tremblay and Kasner during the school assembly held on April 27.  After winning the regional championship held in Foam Lake, the team went on to compete at the provincial championship in Rosetown.  Congratulations to the Aardvarks Curling Team, W.P. Sandin Public School, and the Shellbrook community.

Thank you to Saskatchewan Milk Marketing Board for providing milk to all those that attended the presentation and for their continued support of High School Athletics in Saskatchewan.
