Sportsmanship Award – Wrestling

The Sportsmanship Award for Wrestling was presented to the Balfour Bears in front of peers, teachers, and coaches at a “Pep Rally” at Balfour Collegiate on April 19.  The Bears demonstrated sportsmanship, respect, and responsibility, as well as team camaraderie, at the Provincial Championships in March.  Congratulations to the team members, including coaches Parisien and Neithercut, on their “Blue Banner” behaviour.

Thank you goes out to SaskMilk for their ongoing support of High School Athletics and for providing Milk and Chocolate Milk for all that attended the presentation.

Boys Curling Sportsmanship Award

The Humboldt Mohawks Boys Curling Team received the SHSAA/SaskMilk Sportsmanship Banner at a school awards assembly on Tuesday, April 16 in front of peers, teachers, coaches, and HCI Administration. It is the third “Blue Banner” that the school has earned since the introduction of  the Sportsmanship Award in 1996.

Coach, Karla Gardiner, spoke about the team’s season during the assembly and thanked the commissioner of the Provincial Boys Curling Championship, Stacy Jackson, for the excellent job of hosting the event in Humboldt in March.

The assembly had a very positive vibe as students and programs were recognized for their participation and accomplishments.  Thank you to SaskMilk for their continued support of High School Athletics and for providing free chocolate milk for all that attended the assembly.

Sportsmanship Award – Girls Curling

The SHSAA / Sask Milk Sportsmanship Award for girls curling was recently presented to the Allan Edge.  Allan School celebrated a silver medal finish and the Sportsmanship Award during an assembly which included staff, students, and parents.  The team and the school look forward to hosting the provincial championship next year.

Sportsmanship Award – Mixed Curling

Rosetown High School celebrated the presentation of the SHSAA/Sask Milk Sportsmanship Award to the Mixed Curling team.  Parents, coaches, and school division personnel joined staff and students during the assembly organized to recognize the team.
