For National Coaches Week (September 17-25) School Sports NL wants you – coaches, facilitators, leaders etc…, to tell us why you coach and post your short video here. You can even win a fabulous prize!
Our coaches, facilitators, and leaders are beyond valuable to our programs as they spend countless hours every year dedicating and volunteering their time to our school youth to not only teach them athletic skills, but also to install lifelong lessons of hard work, sportsmanship, and healthy living.
During a study SSNL did recently we actually quantified the monetary value of our coach volunteers and the result was staggering.
We had 1000 coaches/leaders in that year x 4 hours per week x 30 weeks per year = 120,000 hours per year X $18 per hour =
$2,356,168 annually in volunteer value. Wow!
So, tell us why you do what you do and thank-you so much for all your time, expertise, and guidance.

Coaching NL is looking to highlight the great work being done by coaches all over the province during this week.
They are looking for athletes to share their story on why their coach is great through their Facebook page.
Each entry posted to their page will enter the athlete and coach into a draw for Sportchek gift cards!
