SSNL Kicks off the Year with their Golf Championship

Despite the rain and wind, the SSNL Varsity Golf Provincials at Clovelly last Friday was a success!

Here are the SSNL Varsity Golf (Demonstration Sport) Provincials Results for our tournament held in Clovelly, St. John’s on Friday, September 8^th. Twenty golfers from these schools, Holy Heart of Mary High, Holy Trinity High, Gonzaga, Queen Elizabeth Regional High and Corner Brook Regional High took part in the event. The defending champions of the team championships, Holy Heart of Mary High in St. John’s, snatched the title once again with one stroke over Holy Trinity in Torbay. The playoff between Evan D’angleo of Holy Heart and Dylan Yee of Holy Trinity ended with a low score of 77 and the latter winning the title. Taylor Cormier of Corner Brook won the girls championships with a low of 94. Thanks to convenor Greg Winter from Holy Heart for hosting this event. Congratulations to the defending champions, Holy Heart of Mary High School in St. John’s, for snagging up the 2017 Varsity Golf Team Champion once again!

Dylan Yee of Holy Trinity Regional High won the Boys Championship after a playoff with Evan D’angleo of Holy Heart of Mary High School with a low of 77 while Taylor Cormier of Corner Brook Regional High School won the Girls Championships with a low of 94.
