Sydney Academy Wildcats to host SSNS Junior Varsity Girls’ Volleyball Provincials this weekend

SYDNEY, N.S. – The Sydney Academy Wildcats will host the School Sport Nova Scotia junior varsity girls’ volleyball provincial championship this weekend.

The eight-team tournament will be played at Centre Scolaire Étoile de L’Acadie in Sydney as the Wildcats’ gym is being used for the Sydney Academy Wildcat Invitational basketball tournament this week.

Pool ‘A’ will feature the host Sydney Academy, Cobequid Educational Centre of Truro, Citadel High School of Halifax, and Park View Education Centre of Bridgewater.

Pool ‘B’ will feature the Strait Area Education Recreation Centre of Port Hawkesbury, Lockview High School of Fall River, Horton High School of Wolfville, and North Nova Education Centre on New Glasgow.

Sydney Academy will open the two-day tournament on Friday at 3:30 p.m. against Park View. The team will also play Citadel at 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, on Saturday, the club will face CEC at 9 a.m.

As for SAERC, they will open the tournament at 6 p.m. against Lockview, before facing Horton at 9 p.m. The club will finish the round robin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday against North Nova.
