ASAA BEYOND BOUNDARIES: WOMEN IN SPORT WORKSHOP AND LUNCHEON
Registration for the 2024 ASAA Beyond Boundaries: Women in Sport Workshop & Luncheon is now open!
We invite all female coaches, administrators, officials, and athletic directors who are involved in High School Athletics to join us on National Women and Girls in Sport Day, February 7th, 2024 for an afternoon filled with discussion, debate, collaboration, and networking; all focusing on developing meaningful and actionable solutions to issues and roadblocks that women in sports face within our Province. We have an excellent line up of guest speakers who have been game changers and sport leaders throughout our Province, as well as some amazing door prizes to be won.
Location: Prairie Gardens, 56311 Lily Road Lake, Bon Accord
Time: 11:00am – 3:00pm MST
Registration Cost: $45.00 (includes GST, lunch, and succulent to take home)

With the launch of Sask Sport’s, Sport Development Framework and Spark IDEA grant in 2023 we are committed to offering our membership and the Saskatchewan sport community opportunities to learn, grow and evolve their programming and sport offerings. This virtual webinar series is a free opportunity to learn more about current research, best practices and engage in meaningful conversation about how to program for women, girls and gender diverse participants.
Workshop #1 – Retaining Girls in Sport
Thursday, February 8, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This workshop will help sport leaders, including coaches, recreation leaders, teachers and sport administrators, create lasting solutions for keeping girls and women in sport and physical activity.
Workshop #2 – Leading the Way: 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion in Sport
Thursday, March 28, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This workshop provides sport leaders, including coaches, athletes and officials, with the opportunity to understand the barriers experienced by 2SLGBTQ+ people in sport and best practices for inclusion.
Workshop #3 – Women in Sport Leadership
Thursday, April 4, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This workshop will help sport leaders understand where and why women’s leadership is improving and where they need to direct continued attention to develop, implement and sustain lasting change.
