Congratulations to our New Brunswick High School Sports Athletes of the Month for November, Janessa and Caleb.

Janessa is a dedicated athlete and excellent student who has managed to balance studies, sports and other extracurricular activities throughout the school year. This year, she was named co-captain of the senior girls soccer team and captain of the HCS senior girls basketball. In the fall, Janessa participated in the SSNB women’s golf tournament and in the spring, she will be one of the senior leaders on the HCS volleyball and track teams. One of Janessa’s greatest strengths is her commitment to progress and her willingness to take on challenges. Janessa is actively seeking advice and looking to improve, often finding extra time to practice before and after school. She never gives up and always gives her all, which leads to an outstanding season.

Caleb excels in both sports and academics. In his sports he will give 100% every game and practice and continue to improve with each presence on the field. With Caleb, the team always comes first and he will always do what is best for the team. Caleb is always respectful to others at school and in sports. He’s been a part of the SSNB baseball championship team for the past 2 years and even pitched in the championship game without giving a safe hit. He won the SSNB basketball championship last year. She has also been a part of the ESA senior volleyball team since 10th grade.

Congratulations to both athletes and thank you coaches and staff for taking the time to recognize these amazing students.
