Manitoba Announces Top 10 High School Volleyball Players

This has been a devastating year for high school athletes, especially for seniors. But this year’s coaches’ choice top 10 volleyball players are still working hard to prepare for the next level.

With the lack of competition, this year’s top 10 volleyball players were not ranked.

High School Girls Top 10 Volleyball Players

(In alphabetical order)

Andi Almonte, Oak Park Raiders, Outside Hitter — aggressive outside attacker, passes well, strong defender, great team athlete.

Carleigh Banfield, Portage Collegiate Saints, Outside Hitter — powerful and creative attacker, can score from anywhere on the court.

Justine Kolody, College Beliveau Barracudas, Setter — leads her team with her offensive creativity and abilities, strong work ethic, great defender.

Maddie Lesnar, Virden Collegiate Bears, Middle — hard working, determined player, strong presence at the net that changes the plans of the opposition.

Mya Morgan, Westwood Warriors, Middle — Mya dominates the game from the net; great blocker and offensive skills.

Dylan Moyer, Landmark Collegiate 96ers, Middle — fast middle blocker with a strong attack, displays strong leadership on the court making her a terrific teammate.

Faye Murray, St. Mary’s Academy Flames, Outside Hitter — strong physical player, plays above the net, great vertical jump.

Brooklyn Olfert, Dakota Lancers, Outside Hitter — has a variety of attacks and superior defense, extremely hard worker, tough serve too.

Danika Scharff, Virden Collegiate Bears, Setter — makes great decisions with ball distribution within the offensive system; great leader.

Emily Scott, Dakota Lancers, Setter — distributes the ball well on offense, big presence at the net; great defender as well.

High School Boys Top 10 Volleyball Players

Thomas Bridle, Dakota Lancers, Opposite — great vertical jump; terrific competitor; strong blocker; great at every volleyball skill.

Gavin Buhler, Calvin Christian Collegiate Eagles, Middle — dominant player, extremely coachable and hard-working, untapped potential.

Jonah Dueck, Rosenort Redhawks, Middle — strong attacker and blocker, big presence at the net.

Owen Dyck, Westgate Warriors, Setter — high volleyball IQ, overall a very skilled player, fierce competitor.

Spencer Grahame, Lord Selkirk Royals, Outside hitter — dominant player, powerful attacker, strong defender.

Josh Jehle, Lord Selkirk Royals, Libero/Outside Hitter — tenacious defender, strong passer, good work ethic, great attitude.

JJ Love, Dauphin Clippers, Setter — huge block, runs a fast/dynamic offence, works extremely hard.

Loring Roehr, MBCI Hawks, Middle — hard worker; uses his size and strength to his advantage, extremely coachable and a great attitude.

Jaxon Rose, Dakota Lancers, Outside Hitter — lots of potential, explosive hitter, great attitude, hard worker.

Rylan Van Kooten, Lord Selkirk Royals, Outside Hitter — strong passer and defender, explosive jumper, powerful attacker, intense competitor, awesome teammate.
