Aurora Ford Outdoor Soccer Tournament kicks off new school sports season
The 2026-2027 school sports season in the NWT is officially underway.
The Aurora Ford Outdoor Soccer Tournament in Hay River opened things up, as it usually does each year with the latest edition wrapping up around town on Sunday. A total of 28 teams hit the fields to win one of the banners up for grabs with players from Yellowknife, Hay River, Fort Smith, Fort Simpson, Behchoko, Lutselk’e and K’atl’odeeche First Nation to take part.
The NT School Sports Youth Photographers program was also out and about documenting all of the action and you’ll see a bit of their handiwork here.
